During this 3 week session we will be looking at combining our belly dance movements together with maybe 2-3 maybe 4-5 movements to a section or a few seconds of a piece of music so that the moves and music flow nicely together.
This class is for beginners and intermediate dancers so you won't get left behind... There are lots of basic movements to start with and add onto.
Towards the end of each class we will move into improv mode and freely dance what we have learned and add in our new combinations to what we already know.
Part of improv for this class will you can bring any prop you would like, skirt, veil, hat.... put it in your dance bag and bring it with you. You can dress up for this class or just your class/workout cloths will be perfect.
We will be using Middle Eastern music, we will be listening, counting, imagining, feeling, thinking and creating on the spot.
Each class will start fresh with new music and ideas... bring a notebook with you if you would like to take notes.
