As students grow more independent, their digital world grows with them.
What they post. What they share. What they create. What they say. And what they choose to keep private can all become part of their story.
BEFORE YOU POST is a small-group guided experience created specifically for 7th and 8th graders to explore the choices, possibilities, and considerations that come with communicating and creating in an increasingly digital world.
It is an opportunity to pause, think, talk, and practice.
Through real-life scenarios, conversation, and reflection, students will explore how to:
• Pause and think before posting, sharing, or responding
• Keep their own ideas and voice when using powerful technology
• Communicate thoughtfully and respectfully
• Consider how their choices may affect others
• Recognize that something created or shared today can become part of their digital story tomorrow
• Make choices that reflect their character, values, and who they want to become
Technology is an increasingly important part of the world young people are growing up in.
The goal is to help young people navigate that world with confidence, curiosity, awareness, and character.
