Lecture Overview
Before we had the term "serial killer," we still had serial M**der. We just had very different explanations for it.
For centuries, communities confronted with brutal and seemingly inexplicable killings sometimes turned to the supernatural. Murderers became werewolves, vampires and monsters, and real crimes became tangled up with folklore and fear.
Historian and true crime author Dr. Peter Vronsky takes us into the dark history of serial M**der before Jack the Ripper and the birth of the modern serial killer.
AFTER PARTY
And because it’s Halloween 🎃, we’re not calling it a night after the lecture. Resident DJ Stevie Kicks takes over at 9:30 PM with a vinyl set. Stick around, make a request from his record collection, and join us for the afterparty.
Costumes encouraged. 🧛
