Most families enter divorce through a legal system built for conflict. Therapists see the fallout, but they rarely get the first call.
About this Event

This 90-minute session introduces a care model that puts mental health expertise at the center of the divorce process. We'll explore how the adversarial approach affects children and parents, what changes when a coordinated team of neutral professionals guides families, and where therapists fit in from early assessment through co-parenting support.

Participants will learn how to identify at least one family in their current caseload who is heading toward an adversarial divorce, how to refer and collaborate without losing their clinical voice, and how to guide a family or individual toward a healthier process, from an early intervention model.

Join the conversation with Brandyn Roark Caires, LCPC and Jen Schimbeno, CDFA®, Co-Founders of Parent Team.
