Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at Severance – Celebrating 70 Years of Music

At the heart of this special 70th-anniversary concert is Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 featuring the uplifting and timeless Ode to Joy.With over 200 musicians and singers including the Western Reserve Chorale and West Shore Chorale this performance is a powerful testament to the enduring power of music to inspire and unite.

The program opens with Sibelius’s evocative Karelia Suite transporting listeners to the serene landscapes of Finland. The centerpiece however is Beethoven’s Ninth a masterpiece of unparalleled emotion and grandeur conducted by Music Director Domenico Boyagian.
