Gather around the Orchestra at the Booth Playhouse and experience the Symphony -- and Beethoven himself -- from a fresh vantage point. Seated all around the Orchestra, you'll see the conductor and musicians more closely than ever, gaining a rare view of the music-making while following Beethoven's journey -- from the anguish of confronting his deafness to the surprising joy and hope of his later works. Through theatrical and musical storytelling, you'll enter into the world of the man behind the marble bust -- to feel what he felt, to grapple with his despair, and to marvel at his triumph, from excerpts of his earlier music culminating in a full performance of his buoyant Symphony No. 8.
Join us as we walk with Beethoven -- from darkness into light.
