We have great pleasure in announcing that Beer @ The Priory will take place from Friday 5th June to Sunday 7th June.One of the amazing things about last year was the decision to move the music into the church on Saturday. Essentially it was because of the weather but we found it gave the festival a completely different vibe. Everyone agreed it was a great idea so this year we’re going to be doing music in the garden AND the church, but we’ll alternate it. Live music for an hour in the garden then a different band for an hour in the church then alternate. We’ll fill in the gaps with some background tunes. This will give everyone a chance to refill their glasses!
Drinkies anyone?
The festival will offer a fab choice of beers like last year and the Thirsty Giraffe will provide their Infamous Cider Wall offering around 20 ciders.
We’ll have a wine, gin and prosecco bar as usual. The addition of our ‘Pimms option last year proved very popular, so we’d better offer that too!
Nibbles and nosebag
Food will be provided by Alex and his team so expect those very nice, reasonably priced hot dogs and burgers!
A Charity Thing
As is traditional we choose three causes to support. All profits will be divided between the Priory church, the Deepings Library and Prostate Cancer UK.
We are also delighted to have the Deepings Lions on-board to provide our Sunday Family Fun Day. This should keep the kids happy while mum and dad sneak off for a small libation in the hall!
Sponsoring the Festival
Beer @ The Priory is only made possible by the amazingly kind support of our sponsors. Last year we were lucky enough to have all of the beers paid for by the time we opened. We’d like this to happen again. Last year we had over 50 sponsors, 5 of which were household pets!
So if you’d like to help out with a bit of sponsorship we’d love to hear from you. Equally if you have a cat that doesn’t mind stumping up some cash we’re listening.
Sponsoring a barrel of beer is the easiest option for anyone and it’ll cost you £50 or £100. In exchange for your generous help we’d allocate some drinks vouchers to the tune of 5 pints for a little barrel to 10 for a big ‘un (or equivalent in other drinks or food vouchers). We’d also be happy for some band sponsorship.
All of our sponsors are invited to the Sponsor’s Preview Session from 2pm on the Friday (regular folk from 6pm).
