Beer + Bubs is a one-night childbirth and parenting education session held at the pub, designed especially for expectant dads and birth partners.
This Bunbury WA session is delivered by Beer + Bubs Program Owner and Director, Carrina Hampton.
Childbirth can feel daunting for men too. This session helps dads understand what to expect, how to support their partner through labour and birth, and how to take an active, calm and caring role on the big day.
The program gives men practical, real-world knowledge so they can feel more confident, prepared and involved in the birth of their baby — all in a relaxed, informal pub setting.
Beer + Bubs is ideal for first-time fathers, as well as dads coming back for a second or third round who want to feel better prepared this time. It is also a great refresher if it has been a while since the last birth, or if you have attended antenatal classes but still feel unsure about your role.
Recommended by childbirth educators, midwives and obstetricians across Australia, this session covers practical questions such as:
• What should you never say to a woman in labour?
• How can you actively help with pain relief during childbirth?
• How do you advocate for your partner if things become stressful or unclear?
• What can you do to help labour feel calmer, safer and more supported?
• What should you be doing during each stage of labour and birth?
• Why are the first hours after birth so important for bonding, recovery and your baby’s wellbeing?
