About this Event

The Western Honey Bee is extremely important to the environment and agriculture. Honey bees pollinate approximately 85% of all crops in Florida. Join us and learn the basics for your new apiary adventure!


This workshop will teach you about:

  • Beekeeping Laws and Regulations in Florida
  • Common Beekeeping Tools
  • The Biology and Common Diseases
  • How to start as a beekeeper
  • Live demonstrations
  • And more

  • Jonael Bosques, UF/IFAS Extension, Hardee County.

Note:

  • Please wear closed shoes, long pants, and long sleeves for the workshop.
