About this Event
Thinking About Keeping Honeybees?
Have you ever wondered if beekeeping is right for you? Before investing in bees and equipment, join me for this informative beginner-friendly class designed to help you decide if beekeeping is a good fit for your lifestyle, property, and budget.
We’ll cover the basic costs of getting started, the equipment you'll need, hive placement considerations, and the seasonal schedule of caring for honeybees throughout the year. You'll also receive a list of pollinator-friendly plants to help support both honeybees and native pollinators in your garden.
This class includes a 45-minute presentation followed by a 20-minute question-and-answer session, giving you plenty of time to ask questions and get honest answers from an experienced beekeeper.
I have owned and managed honeybee colonies for nearly ten years. Through both successes and mistakes, I've learned what works—and what doesn't. Let me help take some of the mystery, expense, and stress out of getting started with beekeeping.
Whether you're simply curious or seriously considering your first hive, this class will give you the information you need to make an informed decision.
