Bee a Citizen Scientist – BeeCome a Bumblebee Spotter!
About this Event

Join us in collaboration with the Greenwave Project, supported by the Scottish Government Public Library Improvement Fund and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, for eight engaging family events all about bumblebees.

Discover the fascinating world of bumblebees and learn how to spot them – and not confuse them with other buzzing insects like flies or wasps!

Find out about the seven common bumblebees you’re most likely to see locally, bust some common myths (did you know bumblebees don’t make honey for us to eat?), and explore how they live and why they’re so important.

This fun, child-friendly session will help you become confident at identifying bumblebees and introduce you to becoming a citizen scientist through BeeWalks.

Activities included. No unsupervised children.

Most suitable for children aged 6+
