Bedford Sinfonia’s upcoming concert includes several rarely performed works.
Johan Svensden’s Norwegian Rhapsody will be followed by Darius Milhaud’s Le boeuf sur le toit, before highlighting the musical skills of Rachel Gledhill (timpani) and David Hext (percussion), two of this country’s pre-eminent percussionists, in the Panufnik Concertino for timpani and percussion.
Dvorak’s Symphony No. 7, considered by critics to be one of his greatest symphonies, completes the programme.
