No prior experience of activities is needed for the day, instructors will lead you through all parts of the day. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Registration is required, as there are limited spots available.SCHEDULE
8:30am-9:00am | Registration | Arrive and check in. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate will be provided to start our day off right.
9:00am-9:10am | Welcome | Meet the instructors and get a run down of what the day will look like.
9:15am - 10:00am | Session One
10:10am-10:55am | Session Two
11:05am-11:50am | Session Three
12:00pm-1:00pm | Lunch & Conversation | Bring your own sack lunch (we have a refrigerator and microwave available for use) and enjoy conversation with other women in the same shoes as you.
SESSIONS
Knot Tying Workshop: Learn the essential knots every outdoorswoman should know, including useful ties for securing gear, creating shelters, or even in emergency situations. This practical skill will help you feel prepared for outdoor adventures all year round.
Wood Stick Carving: Unleash your creativity and craftsmanship with a session focused on carving wood sticks. Participants will learn basic carving techniques to create tools, walking sticks, or simple ornaments. All materials and tools will be provided, and the focus will be on safety and technique.
Winter Ecology Hike: Explore the winter landscape with an experienced guide. This hike will introduce participants to the unique ecological aspects of winter, including plant and animal adaptations to cold environments, how to identify wildlife tracks, and the seasonal changes in local ecosystems. Enjoy the tranquility of the outdoors while learning about the natural world during its quieter, colder months.
