Welcome to the Distant Relatives Project's Empowering Our Relatives (EOR) initiative — a monthly outreach program dedicated to serving individuals experiencing homelessness and financial challenges. Our mission is to create pathways to stability, self-sufficiency, and successful reintegration into society. We are excited to bring our EOR program to Houston, Texas!

Held on the last Saturday of every month, this initiative brings together our members, volunteers, and community partners to offer vital services focused on health equity and access to essential resources. Each month, we provide:

• Fresh food and produce
• First aid and personal care items
• Health and Dental screenings and education
• Vocational training and workshops
• Housing Assistance
• Identification

Info: The day kicks off as our Community Development Team gathers to load our inventory into our service vehicles and set up the event space for the event.

Info: Registration for the program and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will commence promptly at 3:00 pm.

Info: The event is scheduled to tentatively conclude by 1:30 pm. Following its conclusion, the entire team will collaborate on the cleanup.
