BEBE Brazilian Jazz in Concert

BEBE is a lively and versatile 5-piece ensemble fronted by the singer/percussionist Catia Machado Lund from Rio de Janeiro, plus Eric Siegel, piano; Steve Raphael, guitar; Richard Lindsay, bass; and Jim Thorne, drum set. BEBE's members are active musicians in the Bay Area and beyond, playing Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) that ranges from lively sambas to gentle bossa nova and modern Brazilian funk. BEBE has been together since 2020, with recent performances at the Blue Note, Napa; Las Positas Winery, Livermore; Sailing Goat and Acre. Their performances engage audiences with new sounds and rhythms and dancing is inevitable.

For this event, BEBE welcomes special guest Kelsey Seymour, flute, a member of the San Francisco Philharmonic and an emerging voice in jazz flute.

The event will feature Brazilian snacks by Casa do Petisco, included in the ticket price.

Seating is limited in this intimate historic venue near downtown San Rafael. Advance purchase is strongly recommended. Street parking available nearby.
