Beaverton: WPC Portland Area Debrief Meetup (In-Person)
About this Event
In May, almost 4,000 advocates, clinicians, and researchers traveled to Phoenix, Arizona to share ideas and inspiration about living well with Parkinson's at the World Parkinson Congress. From research breakthroughs to international artistic collaborations, there was no shortage of exciting things to learn and bring back to daily life. Whether you attended yourself, or are just curious to hear the highlights from those who were three, you're invited to a casual meetup to learn about exciting updates and developments shared at the congress. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
We are thrilled to welcome the following OHSU researchers and their informational posters featured at the World Parkinson Congress!
- Carla Silva-Batista is presenting on “Effects of personalized versus fixed tactile cueing on daily-life walking in Parkinson’s disease: A pilot study” and “Impact of cognitive status on dual-task progression in balance telerehabilitation for people with Parkinson’s disease: the TelePD trial”.
- Keiko Tsuji is presenting on “Targeted turning training may improve executive control of dual-task gait in people with Parkinson’s disease and freezing”.
