About this Event
The full moon is back and it's going to be the largest full moon of the year! They call it the "Beaver Supermoon" and it should be very bright. Bright enough that we'd like to invite you to join us for a moonlit adventure.
Join us for a short hike to notice how the forest changes as the sun sets. We'll end our evening by gazing at the moon and stars in a field with telescopes while we discuss the signifigance these celestial bodies have on our planet. Bring your friends, comfy hiking shoes, appropriate clothes, a water bottle, and let's enjoy this wonderful evening together!
If you would like to bring a flashlight please make sure that it has a red light option. Flashlights will also be provided for those that would like one.
This event is free and open to all, but please consider giving a donation to support the supplies provided, the time of our team and development of more events like this in the future.
You're welcome join us for dinner at the Kanuga Dining Hall starting at 5:30 PM! (Hours and offerings subject to change day of so please call ahead if you would like to purchase a meal ticket: 828-692-9136).
