The SIU Concert Choir is delighted to present Beauty Walks, an evening of beloved choral works spanning centuries—from Lassus and Monteverdi to Bruckner and Coldplay.
In a world often marked by division and unrest, the simple and sustaining beauty around us can easily go unnoticed. This program invites us to pause and listen more deeply—to the beauty found in faith, in our shared humanity, and in the natural world that surrounds and sustains us. Through music both ancient and contemporary, we seek moments of stillness, connection, and renewal.
We are honored to be joined by the outstanding singers of Carbondale High School and their conductor, Katrina Wood, whose collaboration reflects the vibrant choral community of our region.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Fr. Joel Seipp and the generous parishioners of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church for their gracious hospitality in hosting this concert.
