Canadian composer Jordan Pal’s edgy Upwell – described as the natural process that lifts nutrient-rich waters to the surface and fuels new life and growth. Upwell was written for a digital performer and orchestra. It brings together new technology and traditional music. Best known for The Lark Ascending, Ralph Vaughan Williams wrote nine symphonies, operas, and film scores, and was an avid collector of English folk songs. He also served in World War I as an officer in the Royal Army Medical Corps.
