About this Event
Meet us at Officer Jeremy Henwood Memorial Park for a day of community fun and beautification. We'll be doing storefront improvements, utility box painting, planter upgrades, trash can upgrades,and litter removal.
Brought to you by the City Heights Business Improvement District and Maintenance Assessment District.

About the Event
Join City Heights CDC for Beautify the Block, a community volunteer day dedicated to revitalizing the University Avenue corridor in the heart of City Heights.
Volunteers will work alongside residents, local businesses, and community partners to paint storefronts, refresh public spaces, remove litter, landscape, and complete beautification projects that create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming neighborhood.
Whether you're volunteering as an individual, family, or corporate team, you'll make a visible impact while connecting with others who care about the City Heights community.
What You'll Be Doing
Volunteer projects may include:
- Painting storefronts and community spaces
- Litter cleanup
- Landscaping and gardening
- Graffiti removal and touch-ups
- Public space improvements
- Community beautification projects
No experience is necessary—training, supplies, and project leaders will be provided.
Who Can Volunteer?
Everyone is welcome! Individuals, families, students, community groups, and corporate teams are encouraged to participate.
