Morphonic:
Join DJ Morphonic on the electronic caravan across the shifting sands of sound and time, through the many diverse rhythms of the world, to the shores of modern dance music. Gleefully dance cross boarders between the sacred, the sexy, the silly, the shattering, and the steadfast. Variety is the sonic spice trade of DJ Morphonic and he serves up the right flavor to fit the mood. Dance to hip shaking shanti ratchet and afro pop, the undulating rhythms of world bass music, ass shaking funk, remix and twerk tunes, and glide through the heart opening sounds of deep world house, soul, and so much more.
Morphonic is the DJ project of Maurice Legendre based in Asheville NC and has been crafting dance experiences for over 15 years. Release your inner freaky butterfly and let yourself dance on the sonic waves of DJ Morphonic.

Guidelines
-VOICES on the dance floor: The dance floor is a talk-free zone. This allows dancers to engage in movement as a meditation, to go within, and to be more embodied without distraction in proximity.
-VOICES off the dance floor: We have created a tea lounge and chill space off the dance floor and quiet voices are encouraged in order to engage with others in a different way when you're not dancing.
-SHOELESS: We ask that you are shoeless in the space. If you have a physical reason to wear shoes, you are welcome to - we simply ask that they are not shoes you wear on the street.
-RESPECT: Be respectful of yourself, of others, and of the space/venue.
-PHONES: the dance floor and chill spaces are phone free zones. This allows dancers to be present fully.
Beat Church was started in San Francisco in the early 2000s by the amazing DJ, Neptune, who saw a need for a new cutting edge underground dance offering.
We want to continue and build on that tradition here in Asheville for the existing vibrant dance community.
