Experience the World Wars through the eyes of the Canadian animals who lived it themselves; Winnie, the bear named after Winnipeg who inspired Winnie-the-Pooh; a rabble-rousing goat named Sergeant Bill; Gander, a Newfoundland dog chasing redemption; and Bonfire and Bonneau, the dutiful horse and dog of Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae. The intricacies of human wars may be unclear to them, but love, loyalty, and loss break through the boundaries of species.
This play commemorates the contributions of Canadian war animals and the significant bonds they shared with Canadian soldiers in the World Wars.
