BEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST: EVENT 1
Viking Press.
THE RULES
- 60 Seconds: Max reps. Dig deep.
- The Standard: Wait for the "DOWN" command. We need to see locked knees, hips through, elbows locked, and head through (the "window").
- Strict Power: NO jerking or double-dipping. This is a press, not a jerk. If you bounce it or re-dip those knees, it’s a no-rep.
- Control: Do not drop the implement before the judge gives the command.
⚙️ GEAR CHECK
- ✅ ALLOWED: Knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, belts, and chalk.
- ❌ BANNED: Tacky (of any kind) and straps.

Event 2: The Frame Deadlift
It’s a race against the clock and your own central nervous system. How many reps can you lock out before the whistle blows?
- The Clock: 60-second time limit.
- The Flow: On the "Start" command, the clock begins. Lift for max reps.
- The Rule: You MUST wait for the "Down" command. Jumping the command means a "no rep"—don't waste your energy!
