It's time for a check-up! Bring your favorite teddy bear, stuffie or doll to Gateway Hancock Health. Learn how to care for these very important cuddly members of your family and how to keep them in beary good health all year long.RSVP for this FREE event here: https://www.hancockhealth.org/2026/02/teddy-bear-clinic-at-gateway/
Kids of all ages are invited to this special event. Gateway Hancock Health will help children care for their stuffies, all while helping them get familiar with medical equipment and instruments.
Just like at the real doctor's office or immediate care, children will:
- Check in their special friend at the front desk and give the reason for their visit — they'll get a "chart" as well
- Once checked in, they'll wait in the beautiful Gateway Hancock Health waiting room, enjoy snacks from Leo’s Market & Eatery and fun activities
- When it's their turn to be seen, the stuffie or doll will be called back and get their height, weight, and temperature — children get to assist
- Then the stuffie or doll will be taken by a nurse to get a set of vitals and any needed vaccinations
- Once done with the nurse — the stuffie or doll patient moves on to the provider and gets a full workup — some even get casts and bandages
- Next up, stuffie or doll patients will have blood draws and breathing treatments, as needed
Each family will receive fun "supplies" to help keep their beloved stuffie or doll in beary good health at home. The event also will include exciting giveaways throughout the evening.
