Our November Repair Cafe is going to be extra special! As the market is moving to later in the month we have more space so are expanding our services for you. Join us for:
- Blade sharpening. Bring any items from the kitchen and garden for sharpening on the grinding wheel. 1-2 items per person.
- Tech amnesty. Donate your old smart tech including laptops, tablets, mobile phones, PCs, game consoles, smart watches, digital cameras, cables and accessories. Our partner will refurbish what they can and donate it back to the community, and recycle components from the rest - all with a secure chain of custody to protect your data. No printers or monitors please.
- Visible mending workshop. Drop in and learn how to make simple and beautiful visible sewing repairs. Bring an item or learn on scraps provided.
- Junior Fixer workshops. Kids of all ages can drop in to join one of our repairers to learn how to fix an item in a practical hands on, one on one, session (15-30 mins).
And as usual:
- Get your loved items repaired: from sewing to woodwork, electricals to toys, and everything else in between
- Test out household batteries to find out which actually work
- Get your electrical items PAT tested, especially useful if you want to pass them on or loan them out
