Bead Embroidery: Hummingbird

Learn the beautiful art of bead embroidery in this beginner-friendly class, where we will create a Ruby-throated hummingbird. Working in an embroidery hoop, participants will learn the basics of beaded embroidery and try different stitching methods using a variety of bead shapes and sequins.
Each participant will receive a 6” embroidery hoop, felt, thread, and enough beads to complete their project. No experience is required, and all materials are provided.
Class notes: If you wear glasses or readers, we recommend bringing them to help with the small materials.

Kylee is the Program Coordinator at 577. She graduated in the spring of 2024 with a BA in Biology and a BS in Education. Since learning to sew from her grandmother at just four years old, Kylee has been a collector of hobbies and crafts ever since. She is always looking for something new to try and enjoys sharing her creativity with others.
