Wear your Sunday best for this tea party that's equal parts cultural immersion, hands-on creativity, and meaningful connection.Emily from The Empowerment Initiative will guide us through a traditional tea experience, showing three different ways to prepare and enjoy the same tea. We'll have East African fresh beignets, hear stories about the artisans who handcraft beads around the world, and learn how fair-trade support has transformed their lives and communities.
Then you'll create your own bracelet using those ethically-sourced beads, with guidance and all the materials you need. Esme will share about Innova's work bringing creative and healing arts to our community, and we'll spend the afternoon creating unique pieces of jewelry for ourselves and our loved ones in a gorgeous setting provided by The Ravington.
Bring your daughter, your mom, your best friend, your partner, whoever you want to share this with. Kids are welcome! Just make sure they're old enough to handle ceramic teacups and small beads safely (we're thinking ages 5+, but you know your kid best).
Your $35 duo ticket admits two people or solo attendants can make two items, and covers the full cultural tea experience, beignets, all bracelet-making supplies and help, and supports both nonprofits—global artisan communities through TEIAfrica and local creative and healing arts programming through Innova Collective.
