Now, with no fear of avalanches, is the time to practice, practice, practice.
Practice with each other -- you might save a life!
Join Mountain Chalet and Pikes Peak Alpine School on the grass (no avy worry there) to take your beacon/transceiver out of its box and practice.
Single burials, and multiple. We create as realistic situation as possible and provide you with an understanding of how to use this tool expertly.
An avalanche situation is beyond stressful, so we want to be as prepared as possible if it were to happen.
So practice, practice, practice.
Meet at Pioneer Museum in the SE corner along Nevada on the grass.
Bring your transceiver, probe, shovel and backpack. There's no snow there, but we'll try to simulate it well enough to make your palms sweat.
