Beachside, a Foundation of Participation: Build It Together

This summer, we return to Burner Beach to practice the first truth of any burn: nothing happens unless we make it happen together. Beachside, a Foundation of Participation invites everyone—old‑school burners, first‑timers, artists, dreamers, and dust‑covered doers—to co‑create a day of care, creativity, and collective magic.
We’ll start by giving the shoreline the love it deserves. Every piece of trash lifted, every cigarette butt rescued, every handful of microplastics removed becomes part of the foundation we’re building—one made of stewardship, not spectatorship. This is our shared gift to the coast that holds us.
Once the beach is shining, the playa‑spirit rolls in. Bring your art, your shade structures, your sound, your weirdness, your offerings. Build something small or something wild. Share a performance. Host a tiny ritual. Create a moment that didn’t exist until you showed up and made it real.
This isn’t just a clean‑up. It’s a micro‑burn. A reminder that participation is the bedrock of our culture, and that even a simple stretch of sand can become a temporary city when we show up for each other.
