This half-day workshop is aimed at young adults who are leaving home for the first time, such as those heading off to post secondary in the fall!In this workshop you will learn the signs and symptoms of mental distress/illness,
including stress, anxiety, depression & psychosis. Being familiar with these signs, will allow you to intervene earlier and start to feel better more quickly.
You will also learn and practice evidence based strategies to improve and maintain your emotional wellbeing, such as activity, CBT, meditation/mindfulness, networking & assertiveness (to name a few). Having the skills to combat stress, anxiety and low moods will improve your relationships, academic performance & employment sucess.
