American Legion Auxiliary Unit 36 is proud to host the Be The One Expo on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM at GENCenter, 52 E. Northwest Highway, Des Plaines
The Be The One Expo is a free community event that brings together organizations dedicated to supporting veterans, military families, caregivers, and our community.
The goal of the Expo is to connect attendees with valuable resources, promote mental health awareness, encourage suicide prevention, and remind everyone that one conversation can change—and even save—a life.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
* Connect with local organizations offering support and services
* Meet members of the American Legion Family
* Participate in raffles throughout the day
* Take part in a meaningful remembrance honoring those lost to suicide
* Learn about programs and resources available in our community
