Dear Supporters,
I would love the opportunity to share what has happened since the campaign and the work I am now undertaking on behalf of Georgia’s foster children.
I am now pouring that passion into The MiTio Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit doing business as the Grand Oak Communities (GOC) Foundation, which is focused on walking alongside foster children, foster families, adoptive families, and young adults transitioning out of care.
This mission is deeply personal to me. During my own childhood, I lived in seven different homes and attended ten different schools. Years later, my family experienced the foster care system from another perspective when we adopted our daughter from foster care. Those experiences have given me a unique perspective—not only on the challenges children in care face, but also on what can happen when caring adults, families, churches, businesses, and communities intentionally surround them with support.
We are also preparing for our Be the Light Gala on November 14 at 7:00 PM at Heron Bay Lodge, and I would be grateful for the opportunity to share the event and invite your listeners to become part of this growing mission.
Thank you again for previously giving me a platform to share my vision for Georgia’s children. I hope you will consider inviting me back to share this next chapter.
