Friends of the Southfield Public Arts along with the Southfield Arts Commission present BE the ART: A Costume Ball, an unforgettable evening celebrating creativity, community and the transformative power of public art.
Guests are invited to become part of the masterpiece by wearing a costume or look inspired by art, artists, color, creativity or imagination. Whether your style is classic, glamorous, avant-garde or completely original, this is your opportunity to BE the ART.
Your admission includes drink tickets, food, and access to Park West Gallery’s remarkable art collection. Throughout the evening, enjoy music from a live DJ, explore an array of silent auction items and take part in a one-of-a-kind Collaborative Live Art Experience.
A featured artist will begin creating an original work at the start of the evening, then invite guests to contribute a brushstroke, color or small artistic element under the artist’s guidance. Near the end of the night, the artist will add the finishing touches and unveil the completed piece as an exclusive live auction item—a vibrant work of art shaped by the creativity and energy of everyone in the room.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Friends of the Southfield Public Arts and support its work to bring inspiring public art and creative experiences to the Southfield community.
