Join Be Rare Wrestling and Dustin Myers of Old School Gym for a two-day wrestling performance camp designed to help athletes become stronger, faster, more explosive, and better conditioned for the upcoming season.
This is not a generic strength camp.
Every session is built specifically for wrestlers and focuses on the movements, strength qualities, and conditioning demands that directly transfer to success on the mat.
Camp Highlights:
Wrestling Base Strength
Learn the foundational strength movements that every wrestler should master, including:
Deadlift variations
- Squat variations
- Pressing movements
- Pulling and rowing movements
- Proper technique and training principles
- Unorthodox Wrestling Strength
Discover unique wrestling-specific exercises developed and refined through years of coaching wrestlers.
Athletes will experience:
- Iranian Rows
- Advanced core training
- Grip challenges
- Wrestling-specific strength movements
- Innovative training methods used by elite wrestlers
- Plyometrics & Speed Training
- Build explosive power and improve athleticism through:
- Leg-drive focused plyometrics
- Horizontal force development
- Chain-resistant sprint work
- Medicine ball throws
- Speed development drills
GutCheck Conditioning
Challenge yourself with wrestling-specific conditioning that develops both physical and mental toughness.
Athletes will train with:
- Functional movements
- Strongman-style exercises
- Weighted carries
- Battle ropes
- Truck/car pulls (older athletes only)
Coaches Session
Coaches will have the opportunity to learn directly from Dustin Myers through a special consultation covering:
- Preseason preparation
- In-season conditioning
- Peaking for competition
- Strength programming
