Join Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks experts for a FREE Bear Safety Training designed to help you hike, camp and recreate confidently in bear country. Whether you are new to the outdoors or just want a refresher, this session covers the essentials for staying safe and prepared.
What you will learn:
• How to recognize and understand bear behavior
• Proven bear avoidance strategies while hiking and camping
• What to do during a bear encounter
• When and how to properly use bear spray with hands on practice
🧴 Bonus: Bring expired bear spray to safely dispose of it during the event
