Our event hosted in Langley, BC, is the ONLY world recognized giant pumpkin weigh-off event in Western Canada, with the next closest event being hosted in Manitoba.
Contestants will weigh their Gargantuan Gourds, as well as other giant fruits and veggies, in front of a large crowd of enthusiastic spectators, fellow growers and the media!
This is a very well-advertised event that draws nearly all local television and print media covering this amazing story each year. In 2025, our event drew nearly 5,000 people – it was our BIGGEST event ever!!!

𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞: Saturday, October 3, 2026
𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞: Contestant’s arrival time is between 9:30 and 10:30 AM. Weigh-off start time is 11:00 AM. Giant (Atlantic) pumpkins, giant squash, largest field (regular) pumpkins, giant marrow, large bushel gourds, longest gourds, giant tomatoes, and largest watermelons, are weighed in the order of their estimated weight, lightest to heaviest, with the largest pumpkins being weighed last. The length of the weigh-off depends on the number of entries. In previous years, the winners were announced before 2:00 PM. Sponsors set up time is 9:30 AM and take down time is after 2:00 PM.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭’𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦: Printed registration forms will be available at our Giant Pumpkins BC tent on site the morning of our event. Please bring CASH for your GPC and/or Exhibition Only entry fees. 𝐆𝐏𝐂 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐞𝐞: $20 CASH registration fee per grower per GPC category. For example, if you’re entering a giant pumpkin and giant watermelon to be qualified and weighed for the GPC, your registration fee will be $20 + $20 = $40 CASH. 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐞𝐞: $10 CASH registration fee per grower per Exhibition Only entry. For example, if you’re entering a field pumpkin or squash to be weighed just for fun, your registration fee will be $10 CASH per entry.
