BCI Preaching Seminar – Preaching the Psalms

Join us on Friday, April 17th, 9:00am-2:00pm at Westwind Church in Waukee for an engaging seminar all about Preaching the Psalms.

Josh Tillman, Lead Pastor at Westwind Church in Waukee will be guiding this seminar to provide preachers young and old with fresh insights and practical tips on bringing the Psalms to life from the pulpit.

The Psalms teach us to pray, but they also teach us how to preach. Martin Luther notes that the Psalter "should be precious and dear to us if only because it most clearly promises the death and resurrection of Christ, and describes His kingdom, and the nature and standing of all Christian people. It could well be called a ‘little Bible’ since it contains, set out in the briefest and most beautiful form, all that is to be found in the whole Bible.” Within this seminar we will study how the Psalter teaches us how to do biblical theology, how to the preach the Psalter as a book, and the New Testament use of the Psalms.
