District Representative (Voting Member), Convention Delegate & Organizational Elections
The Bryan County Democratic Committee (BCDC) hereby gives official notice that the Committee will conduct District Representative (Voting Member / Post Seat Holder) elections pursuant to the Bryan County Democratic Committee Bylaws and the Charter and Bylaws of the Democratic Party of Georgia.

⚠️ This is an in-person meeting. District caucus voting must occur in person in accordance with the BCDC Bylaws.
🏛 DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE (VOTING MEMBER) ELECTIONS
District Representatives, also known as Voting Members or Post Seat Holders, form the governing board of the Bryan County Democratic Committee.
District caucus elections and special vacancy elections will be conducted in all five BCDC districts.
BCDC maintains a total of four (4) District Representative seats per district across all five county commission districts.
• Two (2) seats per district will serve full four-year terms aligned with the Gubernatorial election cycle.
• Remaining vacant seats will be filled through special elections for the remainder of the current term in order to preserve the staggered election structure required under the BCDC Bylaws.
These elections are part of an organizational realignment process intended to restore the regular Presidential and Gubernatorial election cycles required under the BCDC governing documents.
🌊 STATE CONVENTION DELEGATE ELECTIONS
Bryan County is eligible to elect up to two (2) State Convention Delegates for the 2026 Democratic Party of Georgia State Convention taking place this year in Savannah, Georgia.
• One (1) Convention Delegate will be elected by participants attending the June 27 caucus meeting.
• One (1) Convention Delegate will be elected by the newly elected Board of District Representatives immediately following the completion of District Representative voting.
Convention Delegates participate in official Democratic Party business at the state level, including convention voting, caucuses, resolutions, and statewide organizing discussions.
🏛 ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING
Following the election and seating of newly elected District Representatives, BCDC will hold an organizational meeting in the weeks following the June 27 election to elect:
• Bryan County’s State Committee Member
• BCDC Officers
Additional information regarding the organizational meeting process will be announced at the June 27 meeting.
✅ ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To vote or run, an individual must:
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be registered to vote in Bryan County
• Reside in Bryan County
• Declare themselves a Democrat
• Complete the required BCDC Membership Affidavit
Members may vote only within the district in which they reside.
