Our next dance will be coming up on Saturday April 18th, and it’s at a special location: Victoria Drive Community Hall! We’re offering an extended afternoon of activities featuring a FREE Beginner Lesson with Dalynne Roberts, followed by a guided practice social dance for beginners, open practice time for all levels, and an Intermediate Lesson with Henry Hwi.
(Yes, this daylight savings time, we sprung forward a little too far and skipped March. See further explanation at the bottom.*)

WHERE (TEMPORARY SPECIAL LOCATION): ***Victoria Drive Community Hall, 2026 E 43rd Ave, Vancouver, BC, V5P 1M7***
When: Saturday April 18th.
3:15pm --> Doors
3:30-5:00pm --> FREE Beginner Lesson
Enjoy a lively lesson led by Dalynne Roberts. Learn West Coast Swing basics for the first time, or use the lesson to solidify your dance moves!
Dalynne has been dancing West Coast Swing for the past 10 years and travels to compete in improvisation competitions. She is trained in the Swing Literacy Development Method, and teaches Intro to WCS classes at SwingSoul Sundays at the DanceVancouver studio. A natural teacher, speaker, and entertainer, Dalynne is passionate about making every human feel welcome, included, and inspired.
5:00-5:30pm --> FREE Guided Practice Social Dance
This is designed to help the beginners who have just finished their lesson get comfortable with dancing socially with random partners out in the wild! All levels of dancers are welcome to join and support the beginners.
5:30-6:30pm --> Open Practice
The hall will be open for practice time. This hour is free of charge, but donations are always welcome.
6:30-7:30pm --> Intermediate Lesson
Taught by Henry Hwi, this lesson will focus on dancing on, to, and with the '“1” of the music.
Henry has been dancing for over 11 years. He started with Salsa and other Latin dance forms, and dabbled with International Ballroom before finding his home with West Coast Swing. Since then, he has increased his WCS dance expression with Tap and Hip Hop.
7:30-10:30pm --> Social Dance!

Beginner Lesson and Guided Practice Social Dance: Free!
Intermediate Lesson: Members: $8 / Non-members: $10 / Students: $4
Social Dance: Members: $12 / Non-Members: $15 / Students: $7

For the safety of everyone, please do not bring breakable water bottles (glass, ceramic, etc.) into the dance areas.
Please avoid wearing strong scents/perfumes.
And remember to bring your non-marking indoor shoes!

*…And here’s an explanation of the temporary change in location: our usual venue, Bonsor Recreation Complex, is unavailable for Saturdays in March and April. We looked long and hard to find a suitable alternative, but we were — unfortunately — not able to secure a venue for March. However! We’re so excited to see you in April for the above-mentioned Beginner and Intermediate Lessons at Victoria Drive Community Hall. Again, please note the special location for April 18th! (In May, we will return to our usual venue: Bonsor Recreation Complex.)
