Back by popular demand! Solano Park Meet Up and BBQ Potluck.
10AM start time is for the cruise to the park. 11AM is start time for the park meet up.
10 AM: Meet in parking lot next to Jack In The Box at 1035 Alamo Drive in Vacaville. The cruise will leave at 10:30, which will get us to the park at 11.
IMPORTANT: If going directly to the park - please note that there is a camping side and a day use side. The only address we have is for the camping side. We will be across the street at the day use side.
We will be at Pad A, which is near the front of the park.
This will be a BBQ Potluck. Steve and I will bring meats to BBQ (burgers, links, chicken). We ask that each of you bring a side dish to share! I will make a separate sign up in the comments of the invitation so we can make sure we don't have six different types of potato salad. Bring whatever drinks you'd like for yourself.
Alcohol IS permitted in the park, but NO glass containers or kegs.
Smoking or vaping is NOT allowed in the park (or any Solano County park).
NO DOGS are allowed. Sorry - I'd love to bring my pup too, but they have to keep the peacocks safe, so don't allow dogs.
PARKING: There is an $8 parking fee (bring cash). There is a large parking lot above the park (with stairs down to the park). There is a very small parking lot at the front of the park. Unless you get to the park early, you will likely have to park in the upper lot. This means you will not be able to see your car during the picnic. If you have a lot to unload, there is a loading area at the lower lot, but then you'll have to move your car. There is handicap parking in the lower lot. (Note there is a small hill to go up for the upper lot. Last time no one had issues... just giving you a heads up)

Feeling adventurous? Bring your canoe and enjoy the water.
Just don't forget to bring yourself! It's a day of chrome, carbs, and questionable sunscreen choices.
As always... ALL VWs are welcome - no matter the year, make, or shape. Love VWs but don't have a running one, or don't have one at all? You're still invited!
