Join us as we host a a three-day BBQ fundraiser from Thursday, August 28, through Saturday, August 30. The community is invited to enjoy a complimentary meal, shop for unique gifts, and support a vital local organization.
The fundraiser will be held at 5321 Mulberry Street, across from the Stephens City Fire and Rescue station, and will serve food and have products for sale on the following schedule:
• Thursday, August 28: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
• Friday, August 29: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Saturday, August 30: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Attendees can enjoy complimentary hotdogs and hamburgers, accepting donations for the fare, with all proceeds directly benefiting the non-profit’s mission. In addition to the BBQ, the event will feature a special sale of hand-crafted, holiday and season-themed items and gifts, along with other crafting supplies.
The funds raised will be used to sustain the non-profit’s daily expenses and provide a financial cushion for its participants, who self-pay for activities. I Can 2 provides a wide range of programs that creates friendships and celebrates independence, including weekly bowling, community events, movies, and park trips. The group also actively gives back to the community by preparing meals for first responders and families in need through its partnership with Access Independence in Winchester.
