The BBC National Orchestra of Wales makes their debut at Hull City Hall with renowned violinist Tobias Feldman and British conductor Chloe Rooke at the helm. Schubert’s monumental Symphony No.9 was nicknamed ‘The Great’ not just because of it’s grand, lyrical scale, but to distinguish it from his sixth Symphony, also composed in C Major (and often referred to as ‘Little C’). With its majestic character and rich use of the brass section, it more than lives up to it’s name.
