Road Trips and Cognitive Maps Set to SongMitch Rocket is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from San Francisco, CA by way of Boston and the Ecuadorian Amazon. Drawing from a background in jazz saxophone and a love for Andrew Bird, Steely Dan, Chairlift, and Silversun Pickups, he twists saxophones, synths, and strings together into songs that run the gamut from folk-rock to jazz fusion. After emerging from the slumber of COVID with a full band of collaborators, Mitch Rocket's style has coalesced into something he calls “Yacht Grunge,” which mixes the jazz chords of Steely Dan and Stevie Wonder with the overdriven angst of Smashing Pumpkins and Soundgarden.
Carly Beltramo is a San Francisco-based singer-songwriter whose powerhouse voice and emotional storytelling turn every song into a journey. Raised in New Jersey on a mix of musicals and classic rock, her sound today leans into the raw energy of indie rock—drawing inspiration from Stevie Nicks, Alanis Morissette, and Phoebe Bridgers. Her lyrics feel like pages from a diary—honest, vulnerable, and full of self-reflection. Carly hosts the Hotel Utah open mic every Monday and performs across the Bay Area.
