Bay Area Product Manager Interview Prep: Comms, PMF, Roadmapping

Are you a product manager currently interviewing in this tough job market? Come join your fellow PMs for coffee and interview prep!

Each meetup will cover three interview categories (ex. behavioral, strategy, estimation, design, etc.). On the day of, one volunteer per category will present their response, and the rest will provide constructive feedback as well as brainstorm on their own answers. Afterwards we'll leave time for optional networking and paired interviewing.

This Session's Questions:

Cross-functional leadership and communication: "Describe a situation where you had to convince an engineering team to pivot on a feature they'd already invested significant time in. How did you approach the conversation, and what was the outcome?"

Market analysis and product-market fit: "You're tasked with expanding an existing B2B software product into a new market segment. Walk me through your process for evaluating this opportunity and determining if it's worth pursuing."

Product vision and roadmap planning: "Imagine you're joining a startup as their first product manager. The company has a basic MVP but no clear long-term strategy. How would you go about creating a 12-month product roadmap?"
