Bay Area Educator Preparation Program Convening

FULCRUM’s 2025 Educator Preparation Program Convening will offer a deep dive into the new Literacy Performance Assessment (LPA), which replaces the Reading Instruction Competence Assessment (RICA) on July 1, 2025. This is a unique opportunity to connect with fellow educator preparation programs, learn from experts to strengthen alignment of coursework and fieldwork to new literacy standards and LPA, and ensure your pre-service teachers are well-prepared to advance literacy outcomes for all students.

• Explore the purpose, structure, implications, and integrations of the LPA
• Examine exemplars and best practices to strengthen coursework and fieldwork, refining both to align with literacy standards and LPA
• Build partnerships with fellow ed prep programs to develop a network to support ongoing refinement and successful implementation
