The Bay Area Cuba Solidarity Network (BACSN) invites you to NO WAR ON CUBA.
This is a chance to learn directly from two Cuban women leaders about the devastating impact of escalating U.S. aggression against Cuba and the critical need for solidarity at this time. This is a free event, on-site donations appreciated.
Dr. Tanieris Diéguez and her colleague Gabriela González will speak about escalating U.S. aggression, Cuba’s plan for defense and development, and critical need for solidarity.
In the past three months, the United States government has aggressively expanded the comprehensive blockade it has imposed on Cuba since 1962, declaring a total energy blockade on oil imports and stopping any and all oil from entering Cuba. This genocidal action is disastrously impacting every aspect of Cuban life - from food production and distribution to transportation to medical care. On May 20th, the U.S. unsealed a M**der indictment against 95-year old Raúl Castro, one of the historic leaders of the Cuban Revolution. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla called it “a despicable and infamous act of political provocation” designed to build a pretext for further pressure and military action.

Dr. Diéguez is a lawyer who worked extensively on the progressive new Cuban Families Code, which legally redefines and expands the concept of family in Cuba.
Ms. González monitors trade related policies between the U.S. & Cuba.
