Battletech: Alpha Strike Battle Day (Beginner Friendly!)

Battletech is the science-fiction miniatures game where players control towering robotic constructs, called battlemechs: titanic machines weighing 20-to-100 tons and combining copious armour plating with a bristling array of myriad weapon systems.
The Alpha Strike rules system allows Battletech players to play out larger-scale battles in the same amount of time (often less!) as a small game of classic Battletech!
This will be an afternoon dedicated to casual play in the universe of Battletech and will be appropriate for both new and established players!

BattleTech Scenario Day - Alpha Strike - Find the Defector!
Date: November 14th, 2026
Time: 12:00pm to 4pm
The year is 3151. With the conquest of Terra, the Third Star League has been christened after Khan Alaric Ward secured the mantle of ilKhan on Terra. The scars of conflict continue to ravage the Inner Sphere, as whispers of strife linger at the border between the new Star League and the Capellan Confederation, led by Daoshen Liao and Danai Centrella-Liao.
Your mercenary company is no exception to the siren song of opportunity, salvage and the weight of a C-Bill. After securing your intel and gotten-gains from Wyatt, your commander officer has noted an opportunity to take additional resources from the Wolf Empire in the Milton system. It is on good faith in coded correspondences picked up that a defector (or more) is holed near the capital of Paradise Foundation on Milton. They possess lucrative information, and are willing to part ways from the ilKhan and his allies in exchange for their survival. The problem is, that said defector is part of a Clan garrison force and their window of escape grows shorter every day. This may be the last chance before the defector is found out, and their secrets die with them…
Whatever the defector is holding onto, such information would be worth every C-Bill for its safe keeping. While the risk may be beyond reckoning, the reward itself would be a shame to pass up.
No Guts, No Glory there fellow Mechwarrior. Get out there, find the defector, and get off Milton in one-piece to spend your gotten gains!
