Meet Amy Crow // Forge Foward and Kimi Schieren:
Forge Forward is an independent Brisbane-based design brand built by multidisciplinary designer Amy Crow. Forge is based on the values of joy, discovery, and education. We care about creating with intention, crafting thoughtful, playful products across apparel, homewares, art, and stationery. From funny (sometimes filthy) bumper stickers that get people grinning at markets to bold prints that fuse typography and illustration, every piece is designed to make an impact and inspire thoughtful reflection.
Kimi Schieren is a Brisbane-based creative with a focus on creating pieces that make people stop and smile. Her works are adorned with signature motifs like crocs in cowboy boots, cheeky-looking prawns, eyes and tattoo-flash-inspired imagery.
Kimi takes great pride in sourcing her leather and hardware from sustainable, local suppliers as well as sourcing vintage and secondhand where possible. All the purses, handbags and earrings are made from scratch in her home studio in Brisbane from patterns developed over the last 6 years.
What started out as a solution to Kimi's struggle to find a fun leather handbag has turned into a very enjoyable and rewarding side hustle.
