Battle of the Blood Orange is a Kings of War tournament.
Sunday the 23rd of March 2025, the TsN Arena (126 Lower Parliament St, Nottingham NG1 1EH).
Submit your list to [email protected] by the 9th of March 2025 to receive 100 bonus Tournament Points.
Fully painted and based armies will receive 100 bonus Tournament Points.

Once all tickets are sold, players may be placed on the reserve list.
Want to wargame for the entire weekend? Code Orange VI is a Deadzone tournament taking place at the same venue on Saturday 22nd, the day before. If you wish to purchase a special DOUBLE event ticket to attend both, these are available for the special price of £45. Message me to confirm one of these double tickets is still available.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?
2300 point army, following the usual restrictions. NO allies are allowed.
Dice, measuring devices, tokens, chess clock or similar app.
Rulebook or digitial equivalent.
2 printed copies of your army list.

The optional WITHDRAW rules will not be used for this event.
The decision of whether or not to use COMMAND DICE will be made based on community feedback over the next couple of months.

Each player will have ONE HOUR to complete their turns. If a player times out, they may not make any further moves or dice rolls.

THE BLOOD ORANGE V3 SCORING SYSTEM:
Win = 5,000 Tournament Points
Draw = 2,500 Tournament Points
Loss = 0 Tournament Points
Attrition directly translates into Tournament Points. For example, if Bill kills 1855 points of enemy units, he would receive 1855 TPs for attrition.
For the purposes of attrition, and thus Tournament Points, killing the enemy Blood Orange is worth 100 points.
Victory Points will also translate into additional Tournament Points. Each VP earned in game brings you 300 TP on the leaderboard. There will be 7 Victory Points available per game, for a maximum bonus of 2100 TPs.
For Example: If Billy wins a game by securing 4 Victory Points and killing 1560 points of enemy units, he would score 5000 + 1200 + 1560 = 7760 Tournament Points.
Ties in the leaderboard will be settled by the following:
Head to head result between the players
Total number of Victory Points
Victory Point margin
Number of Blood Oranges killed
Attrition margin

THE BLOOD ORANGE OF FATE:
Each player may bring a model representing the special event character, The Blood Orange of Fate, with the following stats:

Once per game, before rolling a nerve check for an enemy unit within 6" of your Blood Orange, you may choose to use the special pair of ORANGE FATE DICE for the nerve test.
If the enemy unit is Inspired, they may not benefit from it for this test. The first result stands.
If the enemy unit is NOT Inspired, you may re-roll the test if you wish.
The Blood Orange of Fate benefits from THREE special rules, determined by the spin of a wheel before each round.

The first player in each round of games to roll a Double One for a nerve check should make this fact known, and they will receive an edible prize.

Lunch will not be provided. In the heart of Nottingham there are numerous nearby food outlets to facilitate your lunch needs.
CAKES will be provided, though.
