Karaoke, but the whole building is playing. Battle Karaoke kicks off Thursday, November 12, and returns every second Thursday after that!
Pick a room and join that room's team: The Commons, The Holt, The Depths or Stash's Den. Teams take turns sending singers to the mic, and every song plays over the main speakers to every room, so the whole Haven hears you shine. The catch? The other rooms are the ones who score you.
How it works:
- Scan the QR code when you arrive and join a room's team
- Each room has its own mics for singing along to just those in your room/group
- When it's your room's turn, step up to the main mic and perform for the building
- Lyrics show on the TVs and on your own phone, so you never lose your place
- After every song, the other rooms rate it on song choice and delivery, and your room's score climbs all night
Between songs, the game keeps going: buzzer trivia, Name That Tune, and quick minigames like applause meters, finish-the-lyric and sing-off polls, all played right on your phone. Every point counts toward your team's score.
Prizes:
The winning room takes home Northwood Game Haven store credit or a free overnight suite rental to keep the private Karaoke fun going, on your terms
Prize drawings all night long, so you don't have to win to walk away with something
Come solo or bring a crew; you'll join a room either way. No experience required, and nobody gets judged for singing badly. Only the other rooms do the scoring, and they've all been up there too. Bring your phone: it's your lyric sheet, your buzzer and your vote.
